Who Can Segway?
Q: Do you have to be athletic to Segway PT?
A: No, anyone who feels fit enough can do it. We can accommodate guests with disabilities. Since our guides do most of the work of getting you ready for using Segway PTs, you can just glide and look at the scenery as you glide. If you are pregnant or have back injuries or another medical condition, we suggest that you ask your doctor's opinion before scheduling a Segway PT tour.
Q: How old do you have to be to ride the Segway PTs?
A: We can have riders as young as 12. There is no upper limit on age as long as the glider is able to use the Segway PT. Participants under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign their waiver form.
Q: What are the weight requirements?
A: You must weigh between 70 and 275 pounds (32 - 125 kg). If you are close to those limits, you may be able to ride with a supervisor's permission.
Q: What are the height requirements?
A: You must be 38 inches (97 cm) tall at the shoulder to be able to navigate the Segway PT. If you are close to that limits, you may be able to ride with a supervisor's permission.
Q: Are there any other restrictions?
A: Individuals who appear to be impaired due to use of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to participate and will forfeit their payment.
